My Mice

I took these recently of my mice. I have 3 (1 male named Houdini, and 2 females named Daisy and Rose).

This is Houdini bringing a poptart I just put in his 20 gallon tank into his little "Barn":

And the two girls (they live in a huge 55 gallon tank!):
                                                                       Rose
                                                                      Daisy

                                                                    I spoil them:
3 times a week I give them fresh foods (Fruits/veggies), and then daily they have a special homemade mix I make with cereals, High quality dog food my dog's themselves eat, oats, nuts, seeds, etc. And I give them human junk pretty often.. They do love their poptarts! That must be why I have fat mice (And rats).

New Cat Tree

One of my cat rescue friend's (The one who gave me the ladder shelves) also gave me this cat tree she was retiring. Its in very good condition, just has some wear on the cat scratching posts! Nothing that bothers me! And the cats love it!

Here is my big Bengal mix Monkey testing it out:

Collections

One of my cat rescue friend's gave me some free shelves the other day, and I had the perfect use for both of them! To hold some of my collections... I have too many! (These are in my bedroom)

One holds all of my The Walking Dead figurines (And I am going to be buying more..So ill have to do some rearranging), and then I also have my Snow globes on it too:

Sadly my 3 ft tall Zombie statue was too tall to fit on any of these shelves:
I think its funny I have such a scary looking thing next to Garden gnomes.....

And then the other is in our living room, and holds my DVDs (Which I suppose is also a collection of mine):
Right behind my favorite chair (And the wall color is not the same as my bedroom!! I didn't realize how similar it actually was until I look at it in pictures)

Ugly spice rack redo

I got this shelf for free from someone's curb (Like I do most of my finds) and this is what it looked like before (Except I had to fix it cause it was wobbly):

And now after I fixed it and painted it:
It holds all my Pugnacious pug figurines! I might be able to make room for a few more on that shelf before I need a new one!

And the collection!
The one on the left is the only one that has been damaged! It fell, and I never found the foot or else I would have glued it back on!

A new fish friend!

I wanted to wait until I was done with my Gumball machine fish tank before I bought a fish for it.. But this guy was just too handsome to not save from Walmart!

Meet The Governor!

And this will be his enclosure as soon as I get a piece of glass fitted, and silicone and get it all set up officially:

A work in progress

My bedroom is half way done. I have finished painting (Except for a few doors and door frames), but the floor is being put on stand-by. I don't even know what I am going to do with it! Paint it, start slowly buying new flooring a box at a time.. I have no idea! But for now I am just going to stick some area rugs down and live on the plywood subfloor!

But I have started putting my furniture and stuff back in there! Finally I feel like I am in my room again, and not some empty unfamiliar space!

I had my walls COVERED in random pictures, and I decided I am going to make my room look like an adult lives in it..(Well for the most part), and not have cluttered walls. I need to buy new curtains too.. LOTS to do!
And this is the before of that section of my bedroom... I do not know WHY I chose this horrible, ugly, dark color for my bedroom! I am so glad I lightened it up. Bye bye "Chocolate" brown!

I buy really cheap furniture for my room because it tends to be lightweight, and its REALLY hard to get heavy items upstairs! The stairs are at an awkward angle, and I have literally no help doing anything around here. I hope to someday bring up my armoire that matches my bed and nightstand. Its in our family room, and I bet its lonely in there. (And I need to finish painting the door...)

I was going to paint the bed frame.. But decided I didn't want to ruin it. This bed frame is older than me! It belonged to my mom, and she gave it to me. The floor looks terrible! On a different note, I absolutely LOVE the beams on my ceiling, and I have grown to like how low to the ground my windows are! I used to hate it, but the dogs like to look out the windows and they are at their level.
This is only a third of my room.. I haven't even finished ripping up the carpet all the way yet, I do sections at a time. So ill have more pictures once more gets done.

TO BE CONTINUED......

R.I.P My Sweet Paris!

We had our cat Paris put to sleep about a week ago. She was sick for months, and getting deathly thin but she still wanted to eat so we spoiled her and let her eat whatever she wanted! She wasn't improving, and was getting worse so we made the decision to have to euthanized. I bought her a grave marker today, she is buried in our front yard in our little Kitty cemetery (We cremate the dogs, but its just too expensive to cremate the cats too! We have a herd of them!). Paris was rescued from our high kill shelter. She was almost 10 years old.

One of the last pictures I took of Paris

Her grave marker I got her! I saw it at Homegoods and just knew I had to buy it for her :)

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is my absolute favorite show of all time, I have been obsessed for 3 years now! (before it became popular!). I started collecting the action figures (I really want a Daryl Dixon.. I ordered him but they discontinued making them and never sent it to me!). I love all things Zombie related.

My newest ones came today:

Michonne, one of her Pet walkers (will be ordering the other Pet this week), and Merle Dixon! I am trying to order all of the ones I don't have before season 3 ends because I don't want them to stop making certain ones like they did the Daryl Dixon one

EDIT to add:
I got this from Toys R US!

Just another to add to my collection!

Organized the plants

Now that the rain has gone away and its sunny and warm outside I was able to do some cleaning up of my yard!

My mom found this bench for free at someone's curb. I painted it, and put some of my plants on it. Might have to relocate it though because I don't think there is enough sun in that location.

My plant in the Toilet bowl planter doesn't look good, I think it got too much water and the pot doesn't have good drainage! Ive been reading up more on proper care of certain succulents.. And my biggest problem is poor draining soil/pots. (Or for the winter I need to bring them all inside, or on my back patio away from rain)

I do not know what either of these plants are called!!!

And my Calla lillies! (Well..Lily...)

One of my garden helpers, Callie, hanging out on the wood pile.

Lola was not very happy to learn I am going to throw her favorite outside cat tree away.. It it gross, and grass was growing ON it!!

Skunk catching some rays.

New finds part 2

I got around to taking pictures of my other thrift store/antique store finds.

First is this tool box thing?.. I honestly have no idea what this actually is. But I still think it is pretty cool. And it was FREE at someone's curb!

Then these Antique oil can pumps my mom bought from a junk store. She got both for 10$, she tried to haggle the price down but he wouldn't budge! She only wanted them because they reminded her of her childhood.

I got this vintage Pepsi box (Which the Pepsi logo is barely visible!) for free at someone's curb (I got it along with the tool box thing).

My mom bought these old milk cans from the same junk store as the oil cans. $30 for both! Don't know what we are going to do with them!

We got this cool antique Minnow bucket from this antique store.. I looked online and these are pretty rare to find! It will go perfect in our lodge themed room

I don't know how old these duck decoys are, but they were only $1 each and they match our Lodge theme

And lastly we got this Trunk from the same Antique store as the Ducks and Minnow pail. It just looked rustic, and would go well in The Lodge

Newest Finds!

My mom and I went to an Estate sale, a yard sale, and antique stores and found a few things. And I also didn't post pictures of some of the stuff we bought at a yard sale last weekend. And we got a few things from garbage piles... We are avid pickers!

Until I get pictures of everything else, I am super excited about this antique Clorox bleach bottle. It is from 1932, and the best part is I only paid $2 for it at a Thrift store!

New Succulents!

I bought a couple new additions to my succulent collection.

And not succulent related, but I bought this today too! Way too cute to not buy:
Its a sock monkey wax warmer! And a good addition to my bedroom once I finish remodeling it!
