Some of my PETS!

I love my pets more than anything, they are pretty much my life. I have a few random pictures of some of them. Rescuing animals is my passion in life.

One of my friends who I used to be close with, but hardly ever even hear from now just showed up at my house with 4 kittens. She was supposed to just get 1 kitten for her family, but came home with 4 and her nephew ended up being severely allergic to them. I couldn't let them end up at our SPCA (Their death rate is over 95%). They thought they were all boys, and gave them boy names.. But they are ALL girls! One was named Rigby, so I ended up keeping that name and coming up with Prudence, Lucy, and Jude for the other 3 (Beetles Songs).

Kinsley. She is not extremely friendly, and the last one to get spayed cause I couldn't catch her. She is NOT one of the 4 I just took in, she is one of my other foster kittens I shared pictures of before.

 My very old Persian Penelope. We refer to her as Zombie cat! She has 3 teeth, and until I started feeding her a special diet she was a skeleton! But she has put on weight. Here she is laying with 2 of my foster kittens, Riley and Aspen!

Random new stuff

Random New Stuff

Got some new stuff, some from Ebay, some from Antique stores, Some from craigslist, some from my Facebook antique group, etc.

 My mom got this antique school desk from Craigslist. Is there nothing prettier than Cast iron and wood? I don't think there is!

 Sewing cabinet #3 (We have 2 Singers now, and 1 hundred year old Whites). This came from a local antique store

I got the brass lamp base for free and spray painted it. And then had the lamp shade lying around and glued some fabric on it. And now I have a really cute lamp!

This entry way table we rescued from a garbage pile. It needed to be sanded, and painted. I painted the legs white, and my mom stained the top.

 My mom got this adorable little cast iron Doll house Singer sewing machine from Ebay. It is THE cutest little thing ever!

 I posted the Library card catalog before, and that I wanted to attach it to some sewing cabinet legs. I FINALLY found the legs (Well my mom did from Craigslist), and now I just need a top for the catalog, and to clean it up a bit. I am still debating about whether or not I am going to stain it.

 Some kind of oil bottle thing from India. We got it at an antique store, it goes well on our India/Buddha shelf.

 Mag Citrate/medical bottle, got from the same antique store as the Indian oil bottle.

 Some more enamelware for my mom's collection. These are from Poland (usually we get the Swedish ones).I really want an apothecary cabinet to display the enamelware, and my Clorox/Lysol/Purex bottle collection in.

Ebay and Junkers!

I have been meeting a lot of fellow junkers lately, and its pretty cool seeing other people's stuff. I don't think anyone likes to reveal where they get their stuff from though! I don't want people to know I get a lot of stuff from garbage piles, but most of the people I meet who are in to old stuff like "clean" junk, and don't want to get dirty. Not me, I don't mind dirt and dust.

 And my mom's newest favorite mode of purchasing things is EBAY.... There are boxes showing up at least every couple of days!

NEWEST JUNK

Grey-Poupon Dijon mustard jar with spoon. I love this thing. It looks bigger in the picture then it is!

My mom bought this old coffee mill, turned lamp from a store. I want to paint the brass...but she doesn't.

Hanson scale (From Ebay). I love it! It goes well with my vintage ice crusher, and our GE 3 beater mixer.

Lysol bottles (From Ebay). One even has the label AND original cork (And there are some contents inside!). 

Not too sure why my mom bought this, but it IS old! a saw blade tin container. (EBAY).

Marking outfit for stamping metal, back from WW1! These were used to hand stamp dog tags. (Its missing 4 letters, but still very cool!)

My mom's enamelware collection is growing heavily! And she has more pieces in the attic she has had for many years but I have not gone up there to drag them down yet.

Old rusty tools! I love these, very interesting shapes with some of these. And a couple random railroad ties. I am trying to come up with a windchime or piece of art using the singer sewing machine pedal, and these....
